Export your TikTok favourite videos
TikTok lets you download all your favourite videos and account data as a file. Here's how to request it and what you get.
How to download your TikTok data
Follow these steps on the TikTok app:
- Open TikTok and tap your profile picture in the bottom right.
- Tap the menu (three lines) in the top right corner.
- Go to Settings and privacy.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Download your data.
- Choose JSON as the format.
- Tap Request download.
TikTok prepares your data, which can take a few days. When it is ready, open Download your data again and tap Download on the Download data tab.
What's inside your TikTok download
Your TikTok data file contains your favourite videos, the creators who posted them, and information about your account. It's organized in a format that computers can read easily. You can open it with a text editor, or use tools to search and organize it.
Using your TikTok data
Once you have the file, you can drop it into the free finder to see all your favourites, newest first, and search them. Everything happens in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and your data stays private.
